Marlings launches four new floor collections

Marlings Form

Marlings has launched three new carpet tile collections – Contour, Structure and Form - and Loom, a complementary range of woven vinyl tiles.  Ideal for all heavy contract settings, from office to classrooms, the new designs bring 42 new design options to Marlings’ range. All carpet tiles are UK manufactured and all finishes combine quality and design at an attractive price point.

Each of the new carpet tiles is a multilevel loop pile, defined by a distinct pattern.  Contour has an organic concrete feel, inspired by the natural movement of rock formations.  Structure is a linear design comprising fine pinstripes, whilst Form is a geometric pattern which creates a layered effect.  Each of the new designs is offered in the same colour palette of ten shades.  They include three grey designs – Tungston, Titanium and Concrete, and three blue mixes – Marble, Lapis and Shard.    Pine and Mercury introduce red and green accents, whilst the two darkest designs, Basalt and Timber, combine grey, tan and ebony tones.

Contour, Structure and Form are made from 100% solution dyed nylon and each tile measures 50cm x 50cm.  The new tiles can be laid in five different formats – Monolithic, Quarter Turn, Vertical Ashlar, Brick Ashlar and Multidirectional.  Each design has a Class 33 Heavy Commercial wear rating, BREEAM Rating A/A (pending) and is castor chair rated.

New Loom is offered in 12 colourways, from monochrome to vibrant lime, in ‘Accent’ weave and ‘Knit’ designs.  The woven vinyl tiles feature an ECOPROTECÔAnti-Scratch and Anti-Bacterial ceramic PU coating.  Other benefits include exceptional dimensional stability, consistent thickness and fray-proof, clean cut finishing.

The new designs are part of Marlings’ extensive range of UK-manufactured floor finishes and TREADS stair nosings, offered from its site at Stanley Mills in Stonehouse - a place of textile manufacture since 1812.   To find out more, please visit www.marlings.co.uk, tel. 01453 821800 or email sales@marlings.co.uk.

Marlings & TREADS provide seamless floor finish for Abstract Office Interiors

Marlings & Treads - Nuneaton project

Marlings’ Terrain Volcanic carpet tiles, along with TREADS’ stair nosings and inserts, have been installed as part of an extensive refurbishment in Nuneaton. The £1.1 m office and warehouse project – by Essex-based Abstract Office Interiors - was completed for client company, OSG, over a 20-week period.  It included complete refurbishment of the office and industrial space within the former Stokes & Parry premises.  The project follows numerous others completed by the firm for OSG, including fit-out of its premises in Basildon.

Located on the town’s Attleborough Fields Industrial Estate, the Stokes & Parry building is a former sheet metal works.  The premises extend to over 2,059 m2and include a two-bay industrial facility and two-storey front offices.  All aspects of the project’s design and installation were carried out by Abstract Office Interiors, with office flooring input from Marlings’ Sam Hayman.  The Terrain Volcanic carpet tile was specified throughout entrances and lobbies, stairs, landings and office areas, creating a seamless aesthetic.  TREADS’ Tred-Ex non-slip TS1 stair nosings and complementary grey inserts completed the installation on the stairs between floors.

Inspired by geographical landscapes and textures, Marlings’ Terrain combines a striking design with high performance.  The patterned tufted loop pile carpet tile was chosen in the Volcanic colourway – a black and charcoal mix – and provides a Class 33 wear rating for heavy traffic. Other Terrain colourways include Canyon and Earth, which each include beige and brown tones; Snow Cap and Glacier from the grey palette, and blue/black Lake.
